Florida is home to many persistent rodent pests. The most common is the Norway rat, the roof rat, and the house mouse. According to the University of Florida these pests can carry at least 10 different kinds of diseases, including bubonic plague, murine typhus, spirochetal jaundice, leptospirosis, rabies, rat bite fever, and bacterial food poisoning. And, if that isn’t enough, they may also start fires by gnawing matches and electrical wires.

How Can I Prevent Them From Coming Back?

There are four basic steps in eliminating a rodent problem: Inspection; Sanitation: Exclusion; and Population Reduction. In order for your rodent control program to be effective on a long-term basis, all four basic steps should be implemented.
